Morning Stats

Yang/firing up:

  • stood on one leg while brushing teeth, to activate glutes
  • cold shower
  • high-five in the mirror (it’s my new favorite thing – it’s hard to believe I almost forgot to do it today!)

  • hour and a half interval workout up steep hills in hot weather

Yin/cooling down:

  • morning mantra: “I find kindness and joy everywhere to go, and I spread kindness and joy everywhere I go.”
  • 15 minutes of dynamic stretching/mobility work/foam rolling
  • 4 minutes of feet up the wall for post-workout recovery

Day 43: Nature recovery

  • one hour of earthing (feet in the sand at the beach)
  • 10 minutes of standing in cold, hip-high Puget Sound water

Day 41: Work hard, play hard

Two wedding in three days, with a 15 mile run in between? Yes, please! Work hard, recover well, play hard.
