Day 43: Nature recovery

Morning Stats

Yang/firing up:

  • high-five in the mirror
  • stood on one leg while brushing teeth, to activate glutes
  • cold shower

Yin/cooling down:

  • morning mantra: “My body is rested and my mind is clear. Today is going to be a great day.”
  • 12 minutes of earthing
  • 3 minute meditation

Evening update

  • one hour of earthing (feet in the sand at the beach)
  • 10 minutes of standing in cold, hip-high Puget Sound water

Day 41: Work hard, play hard

Two wedding in three days, with a 15 mile run in between? Yes, please! Work hard, recover well, play hard.

  • 6 minutes of dynamic stretching
  • feet up the wall for 3 minutes (to recover from my long run before heading to a wedding reception dance floor)!

Day 40: Getting Gritty

Day 39: Sometimes It’s A Grind

Day 38: Full Speed Ahead

Since I’ll be in Seattle for two weeks, I’m taking the opportunity to get some good speed work at sea level. Also, with so many wonderful friends and family to visit with, I’m extra grateful for this blog to keep me on track of all the little things I’ve committed to continuing (e.g. daily meditation), even if they require more effort and time management.
